Creede Itineraries

Day 1

Stay in town, at The Creede Hotel. With a prime location in downtown on the iconic Main Street, this historic hotel also offers a restaurant and showcases local artwork. With a menu that brings added flavor to the community’s dining experience, and with strong ties to the art community, this is a perfect spot to stay.

Right next door is the Creede Repertory Theatre. This is the oldest theatre in the state of Colorado and has a bright reputation, credit due to its numerous awards and high praise from highly respected journals and magazine prints. Here is a place worth the trip to Creede alone. Make sure you catch a show!

Day 2

Spend the day poking around the shops and galleries. The Holy Moses is a wonderful shop for gifts and Tomkins Hardware Store is the oldest continuing business since Creede’s incorporation! Also for you art lovers, definitely visit the Quiller Gallery, housing the original works of world renowned watercolorist Stephen Quiller. There is even a local trail named after him, the Quiller Trail which is easygoing with beautiful scenery amongst the aspen tree.

If you really want to witness the arts in Creede, then plan your trip dates to coincide with our annual Taste of Creede event!
