The Dewayn Brothers formed in 2001 as a side project for the members of the eclectic jam/rock band, Loco Macheen. Dewayn quickly gained popularity with local and regional audiences. Combining bluegrass standards, vintage country covers, and a fast-paced and rowdy style of original Kansas bluegrass, Dewayn had a sound for just about everyone. 

A change in personnel in 2005 opened the door for Dewayn to leave the central U.S. and travel from coast to coast and north to south, bringing the Kansas sound to the entire country.

After five years of touring the country, The Dewayn Brothers hung up their hats to pursue the common things in life: education, families, etc. But in 2014, the group reformed. The line-up is currently four of the original members and a new face, though an old friend on mandolin and fiddle.
