When you visit the area, it's tempting to snap photos of everything you see, but we're asking you to take a minute and pause. Take a moment to consider: do I really need 25 shots to get the perfect pose, the ideal crop, the magical light? Why is it important to take so many photos of the same thing?

Founded in 1966, Creede Repertory Theatre is a professional theatre company located at 9,000 feet in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado.
CRT’s award-winning company produces big-city quality productions in this spectacular location from May through September. Each season, CRT produces 7-10 plays in rotating repertory, hosts numerous musical events and concerts, develops new works through the Headwaters New Play Program, and offers nationally recognized educational programming.
The theatre is only one of very few in the country that caters to a repertory schedule. Repertory, by definition, means, “A type of theatrical presentation in which a company presents several works regularly or in alternate sequence in one season.” This sets the Repertory theatre apart from the rest and adds a unique, ever-changing flare to what Creede has to offer.
This season’s offerings include the American favorite Steel Magnolias, the musical treat Always…Patsy Cline, the romantic adventure Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood, and a drama inspired by the life of famed boxer Jack Johnson called The Royale. CRT offers several ticket deals when purchased for multiple plays, which is the most recommended way to enjoy the multitude of shows they have to offer. All information on how to buy tickets and passes is available on CRT’s website, creederep.org, or by giving them a call at (719)658-2540.
For families with young ones, CRT’s robust Education Department offers five Summer Day Camps, which occur mostly in July. This Summer, children can learn from acclaimed Teaching Artists in the areas of storytelling, puppetry, musical theatre, and - for teenagers - improvisational comedy. For the first time, CRT will offer a Playwriting class for adults. All information about camps can be found on the Education Department’s website at creederep.org/education.
The Education Department also celebrates its 20th Anniversary production of the KID Show, a longstanding tradition at CRT where a company of young students produce and star in adaptations of children’s stories. MUSIC BOX, this year’s offering, is not to be missed.
All of this along with special concert events, CRT’s widely appreciated improv comedy show Boomtown!, talkbacks with CRT’s company, and a brand new for 2022 Cliffside Patio make for a magical, unsurpassed experience not to be missed. Come enjoy a show, go for a hike, enjoy one of Creede’s marvelous, unique restaurants, and then see another show! We can’t wait to see you.
Unit 76 is one of the most sought after units for big game in Colorado. This is a draw unit. The Ramble House sells over-the-counter licenses for the adjacent unit, 79. Be sure to read up on the hunting regulations on the Colorado Parks and Wildlife page.
