Summer is upon us and we still have snow up high! The river is still running at 1600 cfs at the Wagon Wheel Gap station; perfect for the fishermen/women, the family rafters and beautiful pictures. I have reports of the creeks nearby producing a good number of fish and in decent size. So, when you come in for your visit make your plans to fish, hike, explore, and raft the river!
The Creede Chute Out begins this week and will continue through July; check out the attached poster for dates and times! Join us to cheer on your favorite cowboy or meet a new favorite. Wet your whistle at the Watering Hole with a beer and a soda for the young ‘uns and grab yourself a snack while you’re there.
The celebration of Independence Day will bring us FIREWORKS! Yes, fireworks. We have had enough moisture in the past few weeks that we expect to have fireworks to add to our weekend entertainment. So come on up to Creede; eat, drink, shop, camp, fish, watch the Mining Events and take in the splendor of what we locals call home!
